After the success of game Gunship Battle, JOYCITY releases a new war game. But this one has a different scenario. The new JOYCITY’s game is not about choppers and airplanes like the company’s previous game; this game is all about authentic war vessels and missions based on historical battles from the World War II.The game is organized in 11 episodes, and each episode is subdivided in missions. Every mission has its own objectives, rewards, and particular difficulty level. To increase the mission’s difficulty you have to finish all missions from the previous episode. It means that you have to finish the episode 1 (on normal level), so you can proceed to the episode 2 from the same level. In order to unlock new episodes you have to win all battles from the previous episode on the easy mode. We also can win extra points with some secret missions. The graphics are very good, displaying a good balance between playability and visual details, at both visual and performance level. The soundtrack is quite captivating, especially the explosion and battle sounds, which keeps us informed about the hit or destroyed targets as well as aware of what it’s going on around us. When it comes to tokens, there are two kinds of currency in this game: dollars and golds. When one mission is finished, it’s possible to be paid in both, but the dollar is used more often to buy ships, while gold is used to pay for special improvements, to buy items (such as special repairs) and dollars. Besides the tokens, we also get points at the end of each mission, which accounts for the ranking. On the admiral menu, it’s possible to increase the percentage of rewards in exchange for gold. Doing this we increase the chances of getting more rewards throughout missions. As in most complex games, there is a high battery consumption. However, it is not too excessive. Regarding the performance, we didn’t notice malfunctioning or lags while the game was running, which proves there is an excellent balance between graphics and performance.
